This month, as we celebrate remarkable women around the world, I choose to honor the life and legacy of Ms. Rosie Dennerlein, who tragically went home to be with the Lord following a car accident in Uganda on February 27, 2026. Rosie was the founder and visionary leader of Shakan Global, a mission-based organization in Uganda devoted to empowering women and children economically and transforming lives with dignity and hope.

I first met Ms. Rosie in May 2025 at a conference in New Hampshire, USA. She approached me with the brightest smile, introduced herself, and from that moment the evening unfolded into a warm, heartfelt conversation about her work in Uganda and the passion that fueled her calling. As she spoke, I listened—deeply inspired—not only by what she did, but by who she was. I shared with her my desire to support her mission, as it resonated so strongly with my own passion for representing Christ.

During the rest of the conference, she consistently went out of her way to make sure I had a good seat, greeting me with hugs and a smile that radiated pure kindness. Her spirit was so beautiful, so genuine, that you could not help but be drawn into her presence. After the conference, we stayed connected through WhatsApp, and her warmth and encouragement continued to shine through every message.

My heart is truly broken to learn of her passing. The void she leaves in the lives of all who knew her—and in the communities she served—is immeasurable. The world needs more women like Ms. Rosie, women who quietly and powerfully change destinies and create pathways of hope for others. My prayer is that God will strengthen and equip us to carry her legacy forward, continuing the work she began and making the world a better place for many in her honor.

Rosie, it was a profound honor to know you. I am certain that Jesus welcomed you with joy into His arms. We will meet again in His glory one day. Until then, rest in power, rest in peace, and rest in the everlasting glory of our Lord.
