Psalm 86:17 NKJV
“Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

I cannot tell you how many times in a day that I repeat this scripture to myself – quite a lot. I can’t imagine serving God and not seeing His supernatural hand or signs of His intervention in my life. One of my mentors, Apostle Joshua Selman, taught that knowing God is experiential and if you don’t have these encounters with Him, your christian journey can be frustrating. So I prayed and still keep praying for daily signs of His goodness. These experiences have truly enriched my life and created a deeper connection and assurance that my God is real.

If you asked me how I know that God is real – I’ll be happy to share countless stories of the naturally impossible things He made possible in my life. They were a clear sign of His goodness towards me. Listen, you don’t need to pretend strength or hide your need – ask for something real that proves God is at work on your behalf. That honest petition is an act of trust, not weakness, and it invites God to step into your struggle.

When others doubt you or stand against you, God’s vindication can change how people see your situation. I have seen God defend and avenge me and many people in ways I could never fathom was even possible. So here’s my charge to you, hold on to what you already know of God’s help and comfort. Past moments of mercy are not distant memories but the foundation for hope now. Even before a big breakthrough, God’s presence sustains you so keep praying, lean into the comfort you’ve received, and expect that the same God who helped you before will continue to show you a token of His goodness towards you.

Let this be so in your life and so it is in Jesus’ name. AMEN!

XOXO,

Lady Abena.
