Dear Unbeliever,

This is letter Nine (9) and the last of my series of letters to you. This in no way is an end to me communicating with you directly. I am sure as the days, weeks, months and years unfold, I’ll encounter questions from friends and the world at large that I can address with the help of the Holy Spirit. Can I just say that it has been my greatest honor to have you read my letters weekly? I cannot even try to quantify the joy and how humbled I am. I truly thank you and appreciate your time. My utmost prayer is that through these letters, you’ve had a change of heart to give Jesus Christ a chance. That religion is man-made but Jesus Christ is not and He prevails through our lives daily. I also pray that you will consider inviting him into your life as your Lord and personal savior. Honestly, what have you got to lose if you give Jesus Christ a chance? I’d like to echo the words of Albert Camus, a legendary French philosopher who said that “I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn’t, than live as if there isn’t and to die to find out that there is”. I can assure you, that the God that I have met and come to live for, He will never let you down and there’s so much to gain from walking with Him than ignoring Him.

Today I’ll leave you with this, there is “salvation” and eternal life, and there is an afterlife and a place called Heaven. You might think that no one has passed on and come back to life except Jesus Christ, but don’t also forget that Jesus resurrected a lot of dead people, some of which were recorded in the bible. Read these scriptures:

  • Jesus resurrects Lazaurus: John 11:38-44
  • Jesus resurrects Jairus’ daughter: Mark 5:21-43
  • Jesus resurrects the son of the widow of Nain: Luke 7:11-17

There are other records of prophets of the old who also raised so many dead people back to life. All these are recorded in the bible for us to believe and know that there will come a time when the dead will be raised back to life. Even these days, the dead are being brought back to life through prayer and the miraculous move of God. God is giving people near-death experiences to give them a glimpse of what the afterlife looks like. He also uses this opportunity to advise the world at large that we need to repent and come to Him so that we can live in eternal glory. Our days on earth are rather few compared to eternity. In Psalm 90:10-12 NIV, a prayer of Moses was recorded. He said”

“Our days may come to seventy years,

    or eighty, if our strength endures;

yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow,

    for they quickly pass, and we fly away.

11 If only we knew the power of your anger!

    Your wrath is as great as the fear that is your due.

12 Teach us to number our days,

that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

One thing that’s inevitable for any human being living on earth is death. As long as you’re here, you will exit. The day and time, no one knows except God. It’s human nature that we immortalize ourselves and our loved ones – thinking somehow we will always have them with us. The reality is, we will not, but we have a chance to see them in eternity if we accept Jesus into our lives and allow Him to direct and order our steps until the day He calls us home. God in His divine love and mercy towards us gave us a guaranteed ticket to a glorious eternal life in Heaven;

John 3:16 NIV – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Can I invite you to please believe in Jesus Christ today so you can live in glorious eternity? If you will, then say this prayer with me….

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name, Amen.

If you said this prayer, believe that you are forgiven, you are welcome to the life of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. Please find a good bible-based and Holy Spirit filled church community and join them. It is a good thing to be connected to the body of Christ. Please note that you will be dealing with humans who are fallible and also vulnerable. They will have flaws but desire to grow in the Lord. Do not let certain behaviors deter you from your journey with Jesus Christ. Stay focused, study the Word of God and cultivate a life of prayer (communicating with God) on a daily basis. I have found the Bible App on YouVersion a delicious sauce to my spiritual growth. There are so many devotionals to choose from, bible reading plans and so much more – all centered on your growing in the Lord. Here’s a link to download it and when you do, please feel free to connect with me on there as a friend so we can share devotionals and encourage each other: They even have an app for your kids to stay connected to Jesus Christ as well. My username is ‘Lady Abena’ and I look forward to walking with you on this journey. AMEN!

I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and one of the things I’m thankful for this year is the opportunity to connect with you. Please feel free to send me a message via the “contact us” form and I look forward to hearing from you and growing together in the Lord. AMEN!
