I call myself a seeker and an eternal student of the word of God. Yes, eternal because it doesn’t matter how many times I read the scriptures, the Holy Spirit reveals something different every time. When God said His ways are unsearchable, He meant just that because just when you think you’ve grasped something, He shows you another dimension of it. (Romans 11:33).
Multiple times in the bible Jesus asked the people, “Do you believe?” Especially right before He heals or delivers them. In Mark 9:4, a man uttered the most honest prayer I have ever heard, “help my unbelief.” It is honest because it is the reality of most believers – we struggle between FAITH and DOUBT. It’s like those two, stare and poke at us at the same time.
I’ve watched it play out a lot recently, where believers even question people’s miracles and testimonies. Mind you, they are praying for the same miracles and testimonies but when it happens to someone, their minds can’t fathom if it is true or not. Sometimes we even downplay it and underrate God’s power. Could it be the reason why people, who are not even believers in the Lord, receive their miracles so effortlessly while those of us praying and fasting for days unending keep waiting for that miracle to happen? I am a recipient of powerful miracles and testimonies so I don’t take any miracle or testimony lightly. If you capture me listening to people’s testimonies, I’m usually smiling sheepishly or jumping in excitement. You would think I’m related to them. I just believe in miracles, maybe it’s a childlike spirit in me but I do believe ANYTHING is possible with God. For every miracle I see happen in my life and others’, I believe it, wholeheartedly. I know God is able to do even more than that. I’m never surprised by it, I’m just always happy it happened for someone to receive. I silently pray to God to outperform the last miracle so the world can know that He is ALL-POWERFUL. Call me the hype-girl for God because I sure am. Honestly, how else will you believe that God exists and that He knows your needs and desires if He doesn’t bring you miracles and unexpected interventions?
So, let me ask you, do you believe? If you don’t, then I pray that the Lord will increase your faith and help you believe so you can also be a recipient of His grace and mercy. Let this be so and so it is in Jesus’ name. AMEN!
XOXO,
Lady Abena.
