Psalm 71:9 is a scripture I pray daily for myself, parents and loved ones especially the elderly people in my life. The Psalmist cried to God that;
“Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent”
God can discard a man. The world itself can discard you when you no longer have the ability or strength to do what you need to do for yourself, your family and humanity. When it looks as if you have nothing else to offer, you can be set aside. So I encourage you to make yourself valuable to your generation. Leave a legacy that will ensure that even in your old age, your generation references you and comes to draw from your wisdom and contribution to humanity.
I pray for you for this week that the good Lord will count it worthy to preserve your life and continue to use you as a vessel for His purposes till the end. I declare it is so and so it is in Jesus’ name. AMEN!
